This page is dedicate to all US veterans and other nations' veterans who fought and defended South Korea's freedom. Especially, my father 1LT (US) Myles Geer, who served with the 65 US Infantry Regiment, 3 US Infantry Division.

June 25, 4 A.M. (Far Eastern Time), North Korea invades South Korea.
July 5, Seoul falls to the North Korea forces.
September 15, Ichon landing begins.
September 26, Seoul is recaptured.
October 19, Pyongyang, North Korea's capitol falls.
November 26, China attacked with 4 Armies (estimated at 200,000 men).
By December the UN forces withdraw south.
mid-January 1951 Seoul was again captured by North Korean and China armed forces.
March 15, Seoul would be retaken.
June 1951, Peace talks begin.
November 27, 1951; Initial cease-fire agreement signed.
July 27, 1953, the truce agreement is signed.
Thus establishing the border and the DMZ as we know it today.
This truce agreement did not end hostilities in Korea.
Armed schirmishes between North Korea, South Korea and the US still occurred along the DMZ and in South Korea.
